Another 5k down

We made it through the Spanish Fork 5k. I didn't like it as much as the Art City Days one. We did cut our time by 4 minutes. My awesome sis once again helped me out and kept reminding me when she had to jog back to me that she was only there to start and finish with me; the time didn't matter. THANKS BRAN!! I love ya.

Next 5K the BYU Cougar Run Oct. 11

I'm training outside for this one. I once again had very bad asthma after the last one for about 3 days. Ry says train outside from now until the race and you can run. If not, NO 5K. Guess I'll stick to the workout schedule :)

It's a miracle

Hey I have started exercising....again. So far this week I have jog/walked 6.1 miles. Today I am going to mow the lawn for my exercise and then do some yoga. Tomorrow will also be a light exercise day since Bran and I are running another 5k Saturday. Wish us luck!!!!

I'm trying to really watch it today since we are going to Lagoon tomorrow and I did all that late night snacking last night.

Exercise: None today. I had to take meds to sleep at about 1:30am and didn't fall asleep until after 2. With a drive to SLC this morning I decided I better get more than 2.5 hours of sleep. I WILL GO TOMORROW!!! Plus all the walking at Lagoon :)

Okay so we haven't really been doing our daily calorie check in. So just for today I am going to list what I ate because I have no idea what the calories are.

Nat's 1st Daily check in

Today I ate 2110 calories. I know for certain I didn't drink enough water. For exercise today I mowed my lawn and tilled my flower garden and a new spot for my veggie garden.

WE DID IT!!!!!

Well we did it. I don't think there was much doubt that Brandi and Kim would do it, but I am most proud to say I did it as well!!! Thanks so much sisters for supporting me on my new venture of getting into shape and finding a love to run. I know some people in the fam thought we were crazy to pay to run, but it was awesome (even if I now have a slight case of bronchitis.) I love you guys!!!

Obviously Bran could have finished with Kim, but she stuck with me and even carried some little girl on her back when the girl's poor mom was struggling with a screaming infant in a stroller and a little girl who no longer wanted to walk. You inspire us all sister!!!

Pre-5K Goals

Okay sisters, here is my plan. Everyday, minus Sundays and Friday the 6th, I am going to try and jog/walk 2.5 - 3.5 miles. I even made a little route that includes a hill so that I can be ready for that part of the 5k. Mostly though, I think I better just pray and have a lot of faith that my Heavenly Father is going to help me make it :)

Running is What We Do

Ok Sisters, it is a miracle, I put on my running shoes this morning and ran the treadmill. I ran for 40 min. I am at about 12-12 1/2 mile min. It was a good 3 mile run. Can't wait until the 5k. How's it going Nat, don't think I am going to bail out on you becuase I am not. I am in this all the way. I am excited and am on a roll. RUN RUN RUN!!!

An Early Start

Ok so Little Sis, I had an early start to my goals, I acutally went out last night. It was awesome. The view was great and the weather felt so nice. I started out walking and then ended up running and trying not to die up the hills, but I made it. The next outing I do I think I will include some pictures. I am hoping for Wed. even if it is on the treadmill due to weather.

My Goals

Ok Nat, I have really been thinkging about what I want to accomplish this next mont and I am now posting them. Starting May 1st, I want to get up on my days off and run the treadmill from 6 to 7, get the kids ready for school, feed Maren, put her to nap then shower. On Mon and Wed night race home from work make a quick dinner and be out the door running to the great view by 7:30.

I will keep you posted as to how this comes about.

Feel the burn

Today was a good day at the gym. I used the eliptical. Man, does it ever make my quads burn!! It was kind of funny. I chose one in the very back corner, because I always get nervous I will get dizzy and fall off, just as I started up the iPod Papa Joe (Teri's dad) came over. He just looked at me and said "whatcha hidin' in the corner for Nat?" I told him my fear of falling. We had a good laugh and he then as he walked back over to his machine he said "Okay 30 minutes, here we go." I don't know if he was actually challanging me, but I took it as one. SO....

Anxiety hang over...

Well, since I had a gigantic (maybe worst ever) anxiety attack yesterday, I was a little too tired from my meds to quite make it out of bed. Also, my legs are still so sore from yesterday that I decided maybe an every other day to running will be best for a little bit. On my off days I intend to take a book and just ride a bike at the gym, or take Miss Livvy on a walk, weather permitting.

No Death Here

Well, there was no almost fatal death here and it is not becuase I am miss workout of america, it is flat out that I did not excercise today. Hope I get to it someday. Good job Nat.

Folks there was an almost fatal moment at the gym this morning, I kid you not. I thought I was going to have rubber legs for the rest of the day. But I did work out so at least I am starting on the right track.
